Brief Description:  Left wing leading edge part #12

I took the left wing leading edge duckworks light apart for painting. I'm not a happy camper. Looks like another lens to be done. I found spider cracks in the mounting holes....Damn. It's still usable, but the cracks will eventually grow.

After I got the bracket out, I painted them with a Rust-oleum Metallic spray can. The colour was a satin nickel. I quite like how it turned out and may use this colour for the interior. It's got the nice balance of metallic and flat.

My 55W HID lights from http://www.ddmtuning.com/products/102/ arrive the other day. So, I had to try them out. I prepared both lights from the Duckworks light kit, one with the 100W bulb that came with the kit and the new 55W HID.

All I can say is WOW! What a difference. The ballast was surprisingly heavy, so I'll fabricate I nice solid braket for it to attach to the outboard rib. The price was certainly right! The bulb colour for the HID is 5000K.

When I opened this program, everything was gone! I have no idea what happended, but fortunately, I had my work backed up. Folks, make sure you back your build up very frequently. I just don't know what happended to casue it all to disapear.
